A bronze sculpture, after Marius Jean Antonin Mercie (French, 1845-1916), depicting David Vainquer, the young biblical figure David re-sheathing his sword, after removing the head of Goliath, which rests at his feet. Marked ‘A. Mercier’. The surface has a dark patination.
