A duo of framed print reproductions after ‘The Sawkill’ by Robert Wood and ‘Golden Sunset’ by Edward Runci paintings. Wood (1889-1979) was an English landscape painter. He came to America and rose to fame in the 1950s with millions of his painting reproductions sold. The ‘Sawkill’ print depicts a river with its scenic riverbanks lined with trees and foliage. ‘Golden Sunset’ by Runci (1921-1985) was an oil painter, calendar pin-up artist and commercial artist. After settling in California in the 1940s he became the portrait artist of Hollywood stars. The painting depicts a sunset over a lake with a boat in the water. Both prints have a wire hanger on back of frame.
Condition
Wear is consistent with age and use. Frames have scratches and scuff marks. ‘Golden Sunset’ print has a small white spot on upper portion.
