Item Details
A duo of 18th century engravings. This duo includes engravings from Histoire Naturelle by Georges-Louis Leclerc, Comte de Buffon (1707 –1788) published 1749-1789. Featured are plates 77 and 78 from the Quadrapedes volume and depict squirrels and other small rodents in black and white illustrated by Benard Direxit. Titled and signed within the plate at lower center and lower right respectively. Presented in black painted wood frames, cream colored mat, and under glass.
