Elliott of London "Tempus Fugit" Bracket Clock

An Elliott of London ‘Tempus Fugit’ bracket clock. This handsome bracket clock features a mahogany hand lacquered black floral painted case with a gold leaf Chinese design. It also features a break-arch brass dial marked Tempus Fugit ‘Time Flies’ in Latin, metal applique cherubim, brass etched floral dial, a silvered chapter ring, and a brass carry handle. It is designed with an eight-day jeweled lever, and was last purchased from Scully & Scully Catalog, New York. Thought to be circa 1950s. Clock is untested.
