Elgin Pocket 17 Jewel Ornate Enamel Dial Pocket Watch
Item Details
An Art Nouveau Elgin open face pocket watch, circa 1927. The watch is showcased in a silverode case by Philadelphia Watch Case Company. Silverode is a nickel alloy with trace amounts of silver. The dial features a porcelain dial with black Arabic numbers throughout with a subsidiary seconds dial over the sixth hour. It is decorated with gold tone wreaths around the main numbers and a gilt leaf under ‘Elgin’. Movements feature a 3/4 plate and are marked ‘Elgin Nat’l Watch Co U.S.A. 17 Jewels’ and serial number ‘29324620’. Watch runs when wound.
