18th Century Georgian Front Key Wind Fusee Pocket Watch
Item Details
A late 18th century B. Martins of London English made sterling silver fusee pocket watch. It features a porcelain dial with black Arabic and Roman numerals with the key winding spot between the third and fourth hour. Watch in encased in a sterling silver case with the pendant crown above the twelfth hour. The inside of the case is marked with the sterling lion passant, London assay mark, a ‘b’ date mark corresponding to year 1777, and ‘5506’. Key is marked ‘Sept 1874’.
Watch is running when wound with included key.
