Vintage Rail and Mining Lamps

Item Details

A pair of vintage railway lamps includes an Adlake railway signal lantern with red globe and extended wire handle, with a wire cage around the globe. The gas container sits beneath the globe and it has a wire pedestal. The smaller, brass lamp is a carbide mining lamp with reflector, circa 1920s; the flame extended out from the center of the reflector to provide light below ground.

Condition

- to fair. Lamps show wear consistent with age, but in overall good condition. Smaller lamp has signs of corrosion.
