Pair of Metal Signs

Item Details

A pair of metal signs. This quirky pair of signs features two rectangular white signs with white text. One reads ‘Beware pickpockets and loose women, New Orleans Police Dept.’ and the other reads ‘Spitting on floors or walls prohibited by order of state board of health’. The New Orleans police department sign is a porcelain enameled advertising sign and was handmade in Port Ewen, New York by Ande Rooney by layering liquified enamels onto steel plates and kiln-firing it.
