Steinway and Sons City Grand Piano

A Steinway and Sons city grand piano. Built in 1937 with serial number 289303, this city grand piano has an ebonized mahogany rim with layers of maple, a bronze cast iron plate with raised logo, solid spruce soundboard, vertically laminated hard rock maple bridge and cap and steel mid and treble strings with wound copper bass strings. Piano also features a laminated wooden wrest plank that holds the tuning pins and Bavarian spruce keys with felt covered hammers and elephant ivory tops. Keys are numbered inside behind the ivory. Piano also has three pedals for soft, sustain and damper. Steinway logo is prevalent in several places on and inside piano and piano is on small caster wheels. A few keys on the right side are chipped and the support on the right has some minimal wear.
