An oil on canvas painting titled, Place du Tertre, by artist, Henry Rogers. This beautiful painting depicts the Montmartre area in Paris’ 18th Arrondissement with several figures walking around the crowded streets, lined with shops and cafés. In the background one can see the domed tops of the Basilique du Sacre-Coeur also commonly known as the ‘Sacred Heart of Paris’. This piece of artwork is signed by the artist in the lower left margin and is presented in an ornate gold gilt frame with embossed acanthus leaf details to the corners. Wire on back for hanging.
