A 19th century framed chromolithograph taken from M.A. Racinet’s 1888 work titled Le Costume Historique. The publication is attributed to being the first fashion book to use color lithography, elevated with silver and gold toned highlights. Images depicted in the book reflect various styles of traditional regional dress throughout the world. The plate reads, ‘Spain- Espagne- Spanien, Imp. Firmin Didot et Cie Paris, Nordmann lith.’ to the lower and is presented under glass in a silk lined carved wooden frame with an antiqued, gold-toned finish. Hanging hardware present to the verso.
