This item is a rare find – a framed picture of George Washington and according to the information below Washington’s picture ‘Page from George Washington’s personal copy of the proposed Constitution, containing his handwritten notes and suggestions. August, 1787.’ This was framed by Yorkraft, Inc., York, Pennsylvania, in a simple black wood frame with a narrow inset painted in gold leaf. The picture and paper are mounted on gold then green paper. The mounting has loosened. Please preview for best assessment.
Condition
The paper has browned and Washington’s picture has faded but both are legible. Both have come loose from the green backing. The paper on the back of the frame has also come loose. This is truly a rare document and would benefit from being re-framed. Please preview for your best personal assessment and satisfaction as to the authenticity.
