Signed Wolfman Kachina
Item Details
A signed Wolfman kachina. To some Native American cultures, the Wolfman guides hunters to successfully achieve game. This kachina is in mid-gait, with mouth snarling beneath a head of white fur and feather ears. Green yarn is wrapped around his arms with a wooden spear in one hand and a tuft of rabbit fur in the other. He is adorned with black paint and a black loin cloth embellished with a red belt and teal and red decoration. The Wolfman wears teal painted leather boots and black yarn tied to the thighs. He is attached to a wooden base, signed to the underside ‘IB.’
