Michael Graves "The Little Dripper" for Swid Powell
Item Details
For Swid Powell, a china and tableware company, architect designer Michael Graves designed this ceramic coffee set called the Little Dripper (1986). He was keen to explore color symbolism in his work. In his Little Dripper drip-filter coffee pot (1986), for example, the terracotta glazed base represented heat and the colour of coffee and the blue wavy lines signified water. This iconic 1980s post-modern design is on view in the Decocrative Arts Collection of the Brooklyn Museum and Yale University Art Gallery.
Included are porcelain filter coffee maker with lid, sugar bowl with lid and creamer.
