A fine art lithograph The Day the Earth Stood Still, created by S2 Editions Atelier in 2001. The inspiration was the poster created for the feature film of the same name, starring Michael Rennie and Patricia Neal, in 1951. This image has been numbered ‘51’ in pencil in the lower left corner. S2 is embossed in the lower left corner of the border and AFI is embossed in the lower right. The chromist David Capson’s signature lithograph is also printed on the piece. Copson recreated the artist’s image by hand-drawing directly onto specially prepared surfaces which were transferred onto lithographic plates, one plate for each color. A certificate of authenticity from S2 Art Group LTS is included.
