Vintage "Welcome" Needlepoint

Item Details

A vintage 1975 needlepoint embroidery sign on cream linen, reading ‘Welcome.’ The fanficul blue and purple lettering is surrounded by swirling green vines and yellow flowers. The piece is initialed ‘BY’ and dated in yellow embroidery floss to the lower right. It is presented behind glass in a hand-carved wooden frame with a hanging wire on the verso. A note on the verso reads ‘A gift to Aunt Mimi – Returned to me after she passed away July, 2005.’

Condition

- light accretion across the linen.
