A vintage offset lithograph reproduction print after the original 1935 illustration by well-listed American magazine and book illustrator Bessie Pease Gutmann (New York, 1876 – 1960), titled, In Disgrace. The image depicts an adorable small child, her back facing the viewer, crying with her nose in the corner. At her feet, a puppy tries to comfort her. The title is printed in the lower margin and the artist signature is printed in plate to the lower left. The print is protected behind glass, in a narrow beveled wood frame with a distressed gilt finish and a ribbon of blue paint.

Condition

- discoloration and very light foxing throughout print. Debris trapped beneath glass. Finish of frame is lightly worn.
