Vintage Trumeau Mirror

Item Details

A vintage trumeau style mirror. The mirror is housed in a dark wooden frame having beaded and ribboned borders in relief with accents in gold tone paint. The upper portion of mirror contains a printed image under glass of “The Swing” after Jean-Honoré Fragonard, depicting a woman on a swing, in French Colonial style dress. The mirror has a label to back from Closson’s Art Store in Cincinnati, Ohio.

Condition

- there is wear to wooden finish with breaks and loss to top ribbon embellishment. There is some buckling and darkening of image under glass.
