Indian Cutlery Set With Wooden Scabbard

Item Details

A vintage Indian cutlery set with wooden scabbard. The handles and scabbard have carved teak wood with carvings of fans and foliate motif. The blades are likely polished stainless steel, stamped ‘India.’ The cutlery is secured within the scabbard by a brass locking mechanism, attaching to the cross guard. The scabbard stands on four brass feet.

Condition

- cutlery is still sharp. Oxidation of the brass is apparent around the joinery. Some damage to the finish of one wooden handle, likely from polish. The stainless steel has some markings. The scabbard legs are slightly uneven, causing the unit to wobble slightly.
