Antique 14K Gold Filled Elgin Pocket Watch

A 14K gold-filled, eleven jewel Elgin pocket watch, circa 1901. This beautiful pocket watch has an ornate filigree embossed pattern to the outside with fleur de lis motifs. One side is engraved in old English script ‘Le Ke’(?). The front opens from a click of the winding stem at the top to reveal a white watch face with decorative blued hands, Arabic numerals, and a seconds dial. The back opens to show an engraving, ‘From Mama, September 24, 1901.’ and stamped ‘Keystone Watch Case.’ The case is Keystone 531026; number 6531026. The interior back opens to reveal the watch works. The edge of the case is detailed with a rope or beveled design and it comes with a 12K gold filled chain, marked to the clasp. Condition

- to fair. The watch was ticking and keeping time at time of cataloging; there is a hairline crack almost vertically across the face of the crystal on the watch face.
