Very Rare Kataro Shirayamadani Experimental Rookwood Pottery Vase

An extremely rare experimental Rookwood Pottery vase, by esteemed artist Kataro Shirayamadani (Japan and Ohio, 1865-1948), made in 1897. This rare vase features brown tones, a long narrow stem and an embossed design of yellow and amber toned dogwood flowers. This vase is shape no. 566B is marked on the bottom, along with the esoteric diamond stamp signifying the piece as experimental.
