Early 19th Century Spindle Back Chairs
Item Details
A set of four assorted 19th century spindle back chairs of mixed hard wood construction. The grouping includes two unmatched Arrow Back Windsor style chairs having a gently curved crest with flattened arrow topped spindles. There are also two comb back chairs having turned back spindles, contoured seats with rolled fronts and beveled lower edges. All chairs have legs and spindles which terminate in the seat.
Condition
- there is heavy wear and scratching to finish. There is some minor splitting to seats that does not go all the way through. The larger arrow back chair has a loose back and one of the legs have come all the way through to seat top. The chairs are not matched having seats are at slightly different heights.
