Antique Star Quilt made in 1865

Item Details

An antique star quilt made in 1865. It features a square blanket with concentric star patterns emanating from the center outward. They range in color and and fabric pattern from orange and brown to stripes and grids. It is rimmed with border of green triangles and brown diamonds. The piece is embroidered with the words ‘Elizabeth Mauger’s Quilt made in 1865’. Also comes with a typed note with the maker’s name and date.

Condition

In fantastic condition for age. Has very small brown stains. A very faint water stain.
