A giclee on paper reproduction of a painting by listed American painter and illustrator Paul King (1867-1947), titled Peace. King was best known for his maritime paintings and ethereal Asian still lifes with figures such as this one. The painting depicts a lone woman sitting on a box among ornate Asian pottery and soft pink cherry blossom branches; she sits in a shadowy gray space. The painting is signed in-plate to the lower left. It is matted uniquely in marbled black and metallic gold, and is presented behind glass in a carved bamboo-style frame with gold-toned finish.
