Antique Walnut Hall Tree

Item Details

An antique walnut hall tree. This piece, made of solid walnut, features an arched top with crown moulding and a raised burl walnut veneer panel to the top rail. Four curved hat hooks flank the 17′ × 39′ mirror. A white marble seat / shelf tops a lower drawer with a raised burl walnut veneer panel to front, round carved medallions, and dove tail construction. The curved umbrella stands have turned supports mounted in the marble and cast iron bases with a raised center medallion and black finish. The piece rests 2’ off the floor on four double bun feet. This item is located on the first floor of the home.

Condition

Good to fair condition considering age and use. Mirror is not original to the piece but is in good condition. The marble shelf has some discoloration and small chips to front beveled edge. There is a missing piece to the upper left, and cracked edges to both the left side and bottom right side. One of the hat hooks is present but unattached. The drawer is missing one pull. Some pitting to the cast iron umbrella bases. Veneer panels are in good condition.
