Chippendale Style Traditional Desk and Chair
Item Details
A Hooker mahogany desk and chair. The pieces have been designed in the Chippendale style with the top of the desk having three leather panels accenting the piece. The edge has been given a rope design and lowers to the recessed panel doors that are opened by brass pulls. The soft corners of the desk has a reed pattern that lowers down to the same rope design accenting the desk. The legs are cabriole in shape with acanthus leaf design at the knee with a traditional ball and claw design. The chair is a Chippendale ribbon back. The crest of the chair has scroll design that also accent the splat. The rails of the chair have a rope design with the back legs are splayed with the front legs being cabriole in shape with acanthus leaf design accenting the knee. The leg finishes in a simple ball and claw design. The seat has been upholstered in a cream cotton blend. The desk and chair are marked by Hooker furniture.
