A Cornelius Schipper original oil on canvas painting. Little is known about the artist other than he was born in Denmark in 1815 and later lived in Holland. He is known for his nautical paintings. This particular work depicts a moonlit rocky shore in natural ocean hues of grey and green. The painting is signed to bottom left in black ‘Co Schipper’.
