A collection of six leather bound books by famed bookbinder Whitman Bennett. Bennett was a famed book binder, book dealer, movie director and movie producer and directed over 20 silent era films and producing many more. The binder’s tags are in the upper corner of the front end papers of the books. Titles include, ‘Benjamin Franklin’, ‘Ardent Adrienne’, ‘Michelangelo Buonarroti’(two volumes), ‘Fifty Famous Painters’ and ‘Dandies and Men of Letters’. All books are bound in luxurious leather with gilt titles.
