Stunning Neoclassical Jasperware teapot in three colors by Dudson Bros. of England. Teapot carries an elegant scene of dancing muses to the side with floral embellishments, also features a raised trivet with simple floral band. Dudson Bros Hope St Hanley Staff impressed in lid bottom. Main pot and trivet have Made by Dudson Brothers England impressed to it.
Dudson Brothers Ltd. was first established in England 1898. The company produced Staffordshire earthenware and Jasperware pottery in a similar style to Wedgwood pottery. It was during the 18th century, that their pottery was offered in pale colors with neoclassical designs, but from the Victorian period through World War I, the colors used were much more vibrant.
Condition
Lid has a small chip and a rub to the paler green band. Please preview for your own assessment.
