Item Details
An original abstract oil painting on board by well-listed American artist Paul Chidlaw (1900-1989), titled A Day by Lake Garda – Italy. The painting is presented in a modern deeply-set gilt frame with a hanging wire attached to the verso. Paul Chidlaw was born in Cleves, Ohio and studied at both the Cincinnati Art Academy and L’Ecole des Beaux Arts in Fontainebleau, France. He returned to Cincinnati where he then taught at the Art Academy mentoring many students.
