Oil on Canvas after Carmen Aldunate
Item Details
An anonymous oil on canvas painting after works by Chilean born artist Carmen Zita Aldunate Salas. The image depicts three female figures, the center with her thinly veiled backside towards the viewer, while the two figures to each side gaze at a line formation of apples. The imagery is characteristic of Aldunate’s depictions of women; it is steeped in a Renaissance style that evokes the Flemish masters from the 15th century or the Italian madonnas of the Quattrocento. The painting is signed with Aldunate’s name to the lower right corner, however, was painted by an anonymous artist. Presented in a black acrylic frame, no wire for hanging.

to good, having a puncture to the canvas, left of center.
