A limited edition print titled Screech Owl, after Thomas J. Allen (American, 1940-2010). Thomas J. Allen was a wildlife research biologist for the West Virginia Division of Natural Resources for 32 years. After moving to Florida in 2003, he began working for the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission, conducting telemetry research on burrowing owls. This print depicts a pair of beautiful screech owls, with one perched upon a pine branch, and the other with its wings spread,descending from flight to alight on an opposite pine branch, with talons open to grip the branch. This print signed by the artist in pencil from an edition of 2,500, prints. The printing plates were destroyed after the edition run. Presented in a wooden frame with double mats and folio pocket to verso. The print comes with a certificate of authenticity and registration card. Thomas Allen passed away in 2010, creating an increased interest in his work.
