19th Century Chromolithographic Portrait Print of Daniel Webster

A chromolithographic portrait print of Daniel Webster by Cincinnati printmaker Elijah C. Middleton, circa 1865. The portrait is marked to the verso reading, “Warranted Oil Colors, Entered according to the Act of Congress in the year 1865 by E.C. Middleton.” It is presented in a decorative oval frame with scrolled applique detailing and a gold tone finish. For additional information, please see the link to the right of this page.
Daniel Webster (January 18, 1782 – October 24, 1852) was a leading American senator and statesman during the era of the Second Party System, which was the political system in the United States from about 1828 to 1854.

A 6" piece of moulding missing from frame. Chips to frame.
