Two Custom Framed Hand Tinted Equine Lithographs
Item Details
A pair of two custom framed hand tinted equine lithographs. One of the pieces is titled ‘Fleur di Lis’ and is signed A. Cooper, RA. Abraham Cooper (1787-1868), Royal Academy of the Arts presented the original oil on canvas in 1818, where the original now is part of the Royal Collection of Queen Elizabeth II. A second work ‘Phantom’ is attributed to J. Webb and Benjamin Marshall, who instructed Cooper in the painting of horses and battle scenes. Both pieces are marked by label to the reverse ’Original Engravings Style #318, and are presented under glass in painted wood frames with dimensional leather strap and buckle.
Condition
Pieces may need to be secured further in frame, with age and use.
