A first edition hardback copy of The Lorax by Dr. Seuss (Random House, New York, 1971). This first edition contains the three indications distinquishing itself from other editions: three lines of copyright information on the copyright page, the reference to Lake Erie which was deleted from subsequent editions, and the highlighted yellow quotation by Rudolf Flesch on the back cover.

Condition

The black pages at the back are scribbled on in marker with lettering. Stickers have been attached to the back cover.
