Four Antique Maps of Old Testament Canaan

A lot of four circa mid-late 19th century unframed, hand-tinted maps of Canaan at various points in the Old Testament narrative. These include ‘The Holy Land as Allotted by Joshua to the Twelve Tribes of Israel’, for Young’s Analytical Concordance (1879); the similar ‘Canaan in the Possession of the Twelve Tribes of Israel’, by William Collins; the double map ‘Canaan as Divided Among the Twelve Tribes’ alongside ‘The Dominions of David & Solomon’, by William Collins Sons & Co.; and finally another double map with ‘Land of Canaan Adapted to the Histories of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob’ and ‘Kingdoms of Judah & Israel Illustrative of the Books of Kings & Chronicles’, colored by W.H.M. McFarlane and printed by W.R. McPhun.
Condition
- minor tearing at the edges, paper discoloration consistent with age.
