An original oil on canvas portrait of a Native American man, signed H. Hartmann. The painting depicts the man in an ornate traditional costume; he is painted in quick strokes of brightly colored paint. His eyes gaze skeptically off to the side. The painting is signed in brown to the lower right. It is presented in a modern ornate gilt frame with piped border and foliate embellishments. A wire is attached to the verso of the piece for hanging.
