Persian Meshkin Geometric Wool Runner

Item Details

A Persian Meshkin style hand knotted wool runner. With multiple geometric center medallions and spandrels on a mauve field, the rug is finished with a geometric border in cornflower blue and orange. The color variation that is apparent on one end was simply a yarn choice of the weaver. Meskin is a region dominated by pastoral nomads, and known for quality carpets. Made in Iran by ABR Oriental Carpets. Runner size is 2’-5′ × 14′-0’, and second hand.

Condition

Used. All second hand rugs have been cleaned and repaired when necessary by Rug Gallery. Wear consistent with age and use.
