An original painting on board depicting the Statue of Liberty. The piece is signed to the lower right, but the signature is only partially visible, and partly behind the frame boundaries. The original piece depicts the Neoclassical sculpture located on Liberty Island, in New York, with a transparent graphic of the American flag to background. Like the original Roman goddess Libertas, the image bears a ‘tabula ansata’ which has the date of the American Declaration of Independence: July 4, 1776. Presented behind glass and housed in gold tone wood frame.
