A period portrait lithograph, depicting Sir Benjamin Thompson, Count Rumford (1753-1814), an American-born British physicist and 1770 century British officer. The reproduction on board is after work by Thomas Gainsborough, circa 1783. Presented behind mat and presented in a molded wood frame.
