Frank Tuchfarber 19th Century Chromolithograph of a Young Boy

Item Details

An 1896 antique chromolithograph on paper mounted on cardboard by Belgian artist Frank Tuchfarber. The portrait depicts a young boy in knickers, suspenders, a red vest, and a flat dark hat. Flowing yellow curls fall across his face, and he stands against an empty beige background. The piece’s date, artist’s name, and publishing location (Cincinnati, where he famously created many of his most popular chromolithographs) are all printed in fine lettering in the lower right corner. The print is presented in a vintage wormy chestnut frame with a wire attached to the verso for hanging. More information about the artist can be found under Related Links.
