1925 Mexico Gold Centenario 50 Pesos
Item Details
A 1925 Mexico gold Centenario 50 Pesos bullion coin. The coin is marked with the commemorative dates 1821–1925. ‘50 Pesos, 37.5 Gr. Oro Puro’ is present on the obverse along with an image of Nike, the Greek winged Goddess of Victory. Below her, superimposed over a mountain range, is 1821, Mexico’s date of independence from Spain, and the coin’s Mint date, 1925. The reverse image shows a triumphant eagle with a rattlesnake in his beak. Text above reads, “Estados Unidos Mexicanos”. Purity: 900/1000. Diameter: 37 mm. The coin weighs 48.6 grams total with the gold tone metal bezel.
