H. Tirolf Mid-Century Impasto Oil on Canvas Landscape

An original mid-century oil on canvas impasto landscape, signed H. Tirolf. This artist created pieces in the 1970s mainly to sell as decor to hotels, and is often confused with the landscape paintings of Dutch artist Hein Tirol (who these landscapes are likely after). The painting depicts a thin body of water running through a dripping landscape created in a multitude of energetic colors. The painting is signed to the lower right. It is presented in a wide wooden frame with a tan velvet stripe. A wire is attached to the verso of the piece for hanging.

Condition

-light surface damage across frame. Canvas is coming slightly loose in frame.
