Signed Terri Kern Ceramic Vase and Tile

A signed ceramic vase and tile by Cincinnati potter Terri Kern. Kern received her formal fine art education at Ohio University in 1990, and began a teaching career at St. Ursuline Academy, Moorehead State University and Funke Fired Arts. Kern has worked for Rookwood Pottery, sold her work for reproduction and had her first solo exhibition at Canton Museum of Art in 2009. The vase is comprised of a round tapered body, flared rim and footed base. The tile is a small square shape with hanging hook attached to verso. These are glazed in a whimsical night time scene with houses with white picket fences, organic plants and stars. Both are signed and dated 1999 to verso.
