A July 6, 1938 All Star Game ticket stub and a vintage postcard of Crosley Field of Cincinnati, Ohio. The ticket stub from the 1938 Major League Baseball “All-Star Game ” is a piece of baseball history. This early All-Star Game was played at legendary Crosley Field on July 6, 1938. This was only the sixth All-Star game in Major League Baseball and the National League won this one, 4 to 1. Players like Joe DiMaggio, Joe Cronin, Bill Dickey, Jimmie Foxx, Ernie Lombardi, Mel Ott, and Lou Gehrig played in the single game. This was Lou Gehrig’s last All-Star Game. The linen postcard features an aerial view of Cincinnati’s lost baseball field, unused.
