A photo offset poster advertising an exhibition of work by well-listed American bird illustrator Roger Tory Peterson’s (1908-1996). The exhibit ran from April 27-September 3, 1984 at the Smithsonian’s National Museum of Natural History; it was held to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the publication of Peterson’s well-known book A Field Guide to the Birds. The poster features an illustration of several brightly colored birds surrounded by a wide gray margin holding the exhibition’s information.
