Gorgeous 19c KPM Covered Urn

A stunning circa 1870 hand painted KPM (Königliche Porzellan-Manufaktur) porcelain covered urn, the epitome of Romanticism, as found in the decorative arts, regal and ornate, on a turquoise ground, with a gilt pineapple finial, bordered by embossed acanthus leaves, over the bulbous, lobed body, which features a band of bound laurel leaves, miniature hand painted cartouches of courtesans, sensational figural head handles, a key pattern, beneath which is a pink swag, accented by putti, the motifs repeated on the pedestal and canted corner square base. A fine piece, marked on the base.
Condition
Has a repair to the finial, a firing crack on the nose of one of the handles, otherwise good for its age, with a little minor gilding loss.
