The North Pole and Alpine Department 56 collection includes the following:
North Pole Series -’Santa’s Workshop’ (1990), ‘Reindeer Barn’ (1990), ‘Elf Bunkhouse’ (1990), ’Santa’s Woodworks’ (1993), ’Santa’s Lookout Tower’ (1993), ‘Post Office’ (1992), ’Neenee’s Dolls & Toys’ (1991), ‘North Pole Chapel’ (1993). There is one Alpine Village Building titled the ‘Bahnhof’ (1990). The figurines include ‘Over The River & Through The Woods’, ’Baker’s Elves’ (set of three), ‘Popcorn Vendor’ (set of three), ‘Christmas Bazaar . . . Flap Jacks & Hot Cider’ (set of two), ‘Sleigh & Eight Tiny Reindeer’ (set of 5), ‘Santa & Mrs. Claus’ (set of two), and two ‘Tis The Season’ (1 piece). There is one box titled ‘Utilities’ (set of eight) and there is one ‘Village Express Van’.
The Dickens’ Christmas Village by Department 56 has become an enduring collectable item for annual and permanent home displays. Each of the items are made of ceramic with intricate designs in the building details as well as the people and accessories and all of the items are hand painted and all of the buildings as marked to the bottom.
Condition
These items are in good condition. One of the “Tis The Season” pieces is missing the small kettle. Some of the storage boxes show some wear. The lights are untested.
