Reproduction James Fraser Bronze "End of the Trail" Sculpture

Item Details

A reproduction sculpture comprised of bronze after a work titled End of the Trail by James Earle Fraser (1876–1953). Originally modeled during 1894, Fraser depicts a Native American on horseback reaching the end of the trail at the Pacific Ocean. While producing this piece, Fraser recalled hearing from an older man that the Native Americans would someday be pushed into the Pacific Ocean. Fraser gained great acclaim for the original plaster piece at the 1915 Panama-Pacific International Exposition in San Francisco, California. This reproduction stands on a rectangular marble pedestal which includes a gold-toned plaque that details the title and name of the artist.
