Antique Victorian Upholstered Armchair and Rocking Chair

An antique Victorian upholstered armchair and a Victorian rocker. The fruitwood frame of the armchair has been richly carved with a decorative pierced floral top rail. The arm supports continue into legs joined by a curving and carved apron. The ornate carving on the knees reiterates the floral motifs. The manchettes, seat, and back are upholstered in a medium green velvet fabric. The inner sides are channel tufted while the back has both channel and button tufting. The antique Victorian style rocking chair has a balloon back, low arms and a carved crest rail. It has been upholstered in a gold tone woven damask striped fabric and the chair back has been tufted with covered buttons.
